i like the idea of bumper stickers because they really tell a lot about a stranger's values. i think as far as the photos go, you will need to create a consistent framing for them--maybe always include the license plate (as that can add a new aspect to consider, although maybe its not allowed to print that without owner's consent), or just photograph the bumper sticker. be careful about how far you pull back though, because the bumper sticker in the last photo was hard to read.
They are so simple in their approach, but very affective given the guidelines they have given themselves. I think this sort of approach with a heavy attention to a consistent perspective on the car would be exciting
Fun idea. I really like the car with the crack in the bumper. It is fun to see each car's personality or rather the drivers personality through their car. Heres and idea... you could take pictures of the people who own the cars seperately and have the class try to match them up with the car they belong to. Or... you could also print the car photos in pairs, like two different cars with stickers that contradict each other.
I like the idea of having bumper stickers because it shows what people believe in, and it also shows how funny they can be. All depends on the car and what they want to have put on it. They were all easy to read excecpt the last one. I think you have a good idea and should continue with it.
I think you have something here. I think you really need to push the perspective and get close to make the images interesting though. Try working really close and pushing the depth of field. I think it would be good to have stories or even photos of the people that own the car. It make for an interesting comparison.
well tyler....i actually like it. i think it really expresses our school and the whole menno college perspective of the world. i like the peace on that is all dirty. maybe combine some more elements, with group shots of owners, sitting on front of cars in b and white. or i don't know. i really can't think anymore. but hey. good work.
Tyler having flash animation with you I know your work and know what amazing things you can come up with. I like the idea of the bumper stickers it reminds me that how different we are in the world today and that we all have our own opinions. I am anxious to see your final work.
There are some pretty interesting things that you can get from bumper stickers and I think this is a great idea. I feel like other than people's faces, the stickers on thier cars express some of what and who they are. Great idea.

Artist's Statement? I think it would help in our commenting...
Anyhow, that aside... I am really drawn in by the idea. Some of my favorite works are typographies by Bernd and Hilla Becher...
